Torres (physician), Cesar Santos (guide) and his twelve-year-old daughter, Nadia, as well as a few soldiers and assistants hired by the members of the expedition. The expedition team is made up of Timothy Bruce (photographer), Ludovic Leblanc (famous anthropologist), Dr. Alexander, a city boy, is now forced to step entirely out of his comfort zone and explore the Amazon jungle beside his grandmother and the rest of the expedition team. Kate is a writer for the International Geographic Magazine and is being sent to the Amazon to investigate and report on a mysterious creature referred to by locals as “The Beast”.
Alexander’s sisters are sent to stay with his grandmother from his mother’s side while he is forced to go stay with his eccentric grandmother in New York City, Kate Cold, much to his dismay.
His parents see that the circumstances are placing a heavy burden on their children and have decided that its best to send them to stay with their grandparents while his mother is taken to a hospital in Texas for chemotherapy.
The situation has placed a lot of pressure on Alexander and after he discovers that his mother’s condition is worsening, he wrecks his bedroom.
